Table Topics
Impromptu speaking practice — free, no signup required.
Table Topics is a core segment of every Toastmasters meeting. Members are given a random question or scenario and must speak on it for 1–2 minutes with no preparation. It builds the skill of thinking on your feet — one of the most valuable abilities in professional and personal life.
Our free generator gives the Table Topics Master an instant supply of prompts across multiple categories, with a built-in countdown timer so they can run the session without any extra tools.
Open the Generator →Use the category quick-pick below the topic display to filter prompts by theme. Categories include general knowledge, personal growth, humorous topics, professional scenarios, storytelling, and more.
For a mixed session, leave the category set to All — the generator will draw from the full topic pool. To return to All after selecting a category, tap the same category chip again or open the sidebar (☰) and select All Topics at the top.
If your club has more categories than fit in the quick-pick strip, tap +N More to open the full category sidebar with search.
Press F or click the fullscreen button (⛶) to expand the timer to fill the screen. This is useful when projecting to a room — the large ring and countdown are readable from the back of the room without anyone needing to crowd around a laptop.
Press F or Esc to exit fullscreen.
After 3 or more topics have been used (with the timer running for at least 5 seconds each), a 📋 Session Summary button appears. Click it to see a log of every topic used in the session, with timestamps and durations. Use the Export button to copy the full list as plain text for your meeting minutes.
